I have a child like this. Not only would he only nurse lying down, but for a
while, only when lying on a lambskin. I was quite a sight in public!

Never found a cause. Tried chiroporactic and cranio-sacral and massage with
no real discernible improvement.

Tincture of time helped; it just eventually got better. Peak problem was at
about 4 -6 mos of age; I just tried to stay near places where I could
comfortably lie down. I also had some success in nursing with him sitting up
in the sling but when he was really tired and wanted a nice long feed, he
insisted on lying down.
