How traditionally is she eating? Is she used to eating traditionally or used to a Americanized diet? Is cow milk a part of her diet--not traditional in China, but often added here (marketing works, you know!). Other possible allergens--rice and soy. The Chinese diet is often so varied and vegetable-based as to not pose a problem, but reliance on any one food can be a problem (like white rice--the Asians I know do not rely much on soy). I am wondering, though, about the history--are you saying baby was not stooling until mom gave AIM? You do say she has been supplementing all along? Are you thinking this is just an issue of not enough food, until the baby had all bottles, in which case your suggestions to improve milk transfer would be appropriate.
