Sara's comments about stress and C-section are certainly applicable to slower
milk production in some of there women.  There are others as well.  Most
women have epidural or spinal anesthesia and liters of extra fluid that goes
with it.  Hence, they often have edema too.  Plus, if the Mother had a long
labor then a C/S, she and the baby are both exhausted.  In some hospitals, as
 I am sorry to report in ours, it often takes longer to get babies born by
C-section to the breast than those born vaginally.  I am sure there are many
more factors influencing slower milk production also.
