Someone wanted to know which BFHI materials to purchase for their hospital.

My answers are (1) "As many as you can afford" and (2) "get materials from
the designated UNICEF implementer of BFHI in that country."  In the US, that
would be Baby-Friendly USA, www.babyfriendlyusa.org.

Why?
1. Materials purchased from the BFHI authority are designed to comply with
BFHI global guidelines.
2. Most BFHI implementation agencies could use the money, and these
materials are usually rock-bottom in price compared with materials from
for-profit companies.
3. One of the major points of the BFHI is consistency and evidence-based
practices.

Partial disclaimer: I helped develop the Curriculum for the 18-hour Course
for Baby-Friendly USA and received a small honorarium for my work. I do not
receive any ongoing financial benefit from these materials. In my
professional opinion, the educational materials available from BF USA are
excellent in quality, user-friendly, and reasonably priced.
