Tammy, get the wagons in a circle! Know that you have
many, many supporters, regardless of what happens in
the short-term.

I have had really good luck with parents who ask about
scheduling feeds when I teach them the physiology of
the infant, as well as the physiology of the lactating
breast. Considering all the factors, many parents
then realize that limiting feeds is not wise from a
physiologic standpoint. It has also been very helpful
to remind/enlighten parents that the period we call
infancy is, without equal, the singular most rapid
growth period in the human life span, much more
dramatic even than adolescence. Think of doubling
one's weight in just 6 months and the FUEL required to
accomplish such a mammoth task...above and beyond the
fuel required for everyday ENERGY needs...and we all
know how energetic infants can be!

How can physiologic facts be disputed or denied?
Willful ignorance is soooo frustrating!

Keep fighting the good fight! I am with you in
spirit!
