I'm way behind on my reading but the first thing I'd do is suggest this lady
get a BETTER pump. Yes, loud emphasis. The Evenflo pump is NOT a good pump,
I've seen damage done to nipples and yes, poor milk supply. This lady may
even do better with a small hand pump like the Ameda/Egnell one hand and pump
while the baby is feeding to take advantage of the let down. Actually tho,
1-2 ounces per pumping is not bad...could she save several pumpings and
combine them after they are all chilled? Someone else have an opinion?
I would certainly NOT introduce formula.
