Okay, if you go to this page:

http://peach.ease.lsoft.com/archives/lactnet.html

You will get this option:

Join or leave the list (or change your settings)

Which takes you here:

http://peach.ease.lsoft.com/scripts/wa.exe?SUBED1=lactnet&A=1

This page has the following:

Your E-Mail Address:
Your Name:

Subscription Type: Regular [NODIGEST]
 Digest (traditional) [NOMIME DIGEST]
Digest (MIME format) [NOHTML MIME DIGEST]
 Digest (HTML format) [HTML DIGEST]
 Index (traditional) [NOHTML INDEX]
 Index (HTML format) [HTML INDEX]

Mail Header Style: Normal LISTSERV-style header [FULLHDR]
LISTSERV-style, with list name in subject [SUBJECTHDR]
 LISTSERV-style, short [SHORTHDR]
"Dual" (second header in mail body) [DUALHDR]
 sendmail-style [IETFHDR]

Acknowledgements: No acknowledgements [NOACK NOREPRO]
Short message confirming receipt [ACK NOREPRO]
Receive copy of own postings [NOACK REPRO]

Miscellaneous: Mail delivery disabled temporarily
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The last option should set you to nomail via the web. I know the button
says "leave lactnet" but I did a little experiment and set myself to nomail
and didn't leave the list. If it doesn't work, and you accidentally leave
Lactnet, it is no big deal. Since Lactnet is an open list, you don't need a
list owner to add you back on, just resubscribe. The directions are
provided in the email message you get after unsubscribing. It happens all
the time and people email us and say "oops, I didn't mean to do that, will
resub after I return."

I still think the easiest option is via email.

Kathy
