Dear Friends:
I finally, after playing answering machine phone tag, got to speak with
the area supervisor of this giant pharmacy chain and relayed my concerns.
His concern is that the company would be liable if the manufacturer
makes a recommendation and Rite-Aide issues information that is contradictory
to that. I asked him about the AAP and other resources and reminded him that
women who stop breastfeeding are putting their babies at risk for sickness.
He said he would have some discussions with others higher up the line and get
back to me.
I'll keep you all posted.
