I'd really like to know how Nancy Wight resolved the replacement of education
materials (AAP etc re: pumping and storing milk) in the NICU pumping room.
If the Ross rep did this, who approved the changes? If it was NICU staff,
what was he/she thinking? We have recently had to (re) enforce our hospital
policies for product reps obtaining permission before coming onto the units
and distributing materials. It has helped, however many of the formula
companies have subtle ways of approaching staff and giving out goodies. It
needs to be stopped outright. Last month our Enfamil rep lured managers to
listen to a Lipil update by offering a "spa night with light refreshments"!
Lots of $ goes into these functions. They must work.
