Anne, I don't have any references for you, but I do have an anecdote to
share. A number of years ago a LLL friend shared this. She had 3 consecutive
premature delivieries. The third child was the first that she was able to
breastfeed sucessfully. This child nursed throughout the fourth pregnancy
(alot); mom went to 41 weeks this time with no signs of premature labor,  and
continued tandem nursing for a long time! This is, of course, an n of 1, but
interesting, I think.
