Sara's post: I've been asked by a mother whether beginning progesteron
(sorry, she didn't stipulate which type, ie. pils or implants) early
postpartum to prevent ppd.
Sara, my suggestion would be to use progesterone cream (1/8 tsp. a day or
less). Merely apply it to the skin, such as on the inner thigh. I have read
that this works for PMS as well....I've got to get some! I've been vowing to
try it! Anyways, I believe the absorption and distribution from the skin
surface has less tendency to affect the baby's brain.
