I think at 8 weeks the mom of twins would be at the same stage we commonly
see in most moms at 2 mo. No end in sight! They lose track of the goal.
Multiply times 2! If latch is OK, transfer OK, mom is eating enough (is
she??) Lots of moms seem to hit a brick wall at this point in nursing, it's
not just the BF, it's everything! time, feeling pulled in too many
directions, need rest, need help (not so much being offered as when babies
were new) etc. etc. etc. Many moms think they should have this all together
by 2 mo. They don't realize yet that life will never go back to
pre-baby/babies. I think tincture of time will cure this. She needs a
helping hand, reassurance and appreciation for how far she has come. Gee
whiz baby's weight you mentioned is almost double in 8 weeks!! Sincerely,
Pat in SNJ
