Don't remember who first posted with questions re lancing the bleb but one
mom I worked with did the lancing herself, I recommended Jack's APNO and a
dermatologist she saw recommended gently daily abrading it with a washcloth
to keep it from re-sealing. She did these things while reducing oversupply
for a few weeks, as I recall and the savior was the APNO which really reduced
the inflammation, pain and kept it from infection.
As to lancing it as an LC I would never do this but have let moms know they
can (with correct precautions) or have OB do it-in some cases the soaking and
abrasion does the trick with immediate follow up of baby at breast or pumping.
