Perhaps we have to make all kids play with computer baby simulations so
they can get a clue as to what real kids need.

My daughter has the game Babyz, and has 'adopted' two babies who must be
fed and changed and cuddled properly or they get sick.  They learn
faster if they are talked to and played with (the program contains a
voice recognition program).  The major downside of the game is that the
babies must be bottle fed, there is no provision for breastfeeding them.
  But it is good training re: the true needs of infants.  I wish this
game had not been orphaned (it is still being sold but not updated for
newer versions of windows).
