Since we're talking about music and evolution, you might as well check
out Daniel Dennett's article on memes, and the evolution of culture.
There's an amusing bit about how music may have come to be, which reminds
me a little of that movie "Caveman"...:-) But seriously, the whole article
is interesting to read, and I'd love to hear your opinions on Dennett's
little Just-so story about music.
