I use this technique too. I love when those little eyes pop open and it
looks like they are saying, "Ahhh, food. Its about time!" Then after a few
more sucks they smile as if to say, "Thanks"
I think sometimes babies do not recognize the breast as a food source, but
with a little compression or a squirt of pumped milk or both, they catch on.
I love it when that happens.
