Recent research out of California showed that co-sleeping did not result in long-term ill effects on the child.
For example:
"The researchers also found no evidence of a link between bed sharing and use of tobacco, alcohol or hard drugs.
It also had little impact on whether the child was sexually active, engaged in violence or crime, or whether they were suicidal."
Of course this is great that they've shown that co-sleeping won't cause any of these bad things, but of course I'm a little disappointed that they didn't find that there were less bad habits, less psychological problems, etc amongst the co-sleepers. After all, isn't that partly why we are doing this, in the hopes of raising stronger, more stable people that will have *less* of these problems???
