It's in the newest Hale, it's a "broad spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic
similar to ciprofloxacin and others." He has it rated L3.
BUT--has she tried breastmilk? I know it is commonly recommended for
babies with eye infections, but one of the nurses I work with was out sick
with an eye infection that was not clearing with antibiotics. Since she
was nursing, I suggested she express a little milk and use a dropper to
start putting some in her eye several times/day. She thought I was a
little odd (nothing new), but did it, said it felt WONDERFUL, and the eye
infection cleared up. Perhaps a coincidence, perhaps not, but easy for
this mom to try.
