That used to happen occasionally in the NICU at the inner city hospital I
worked at. I would throw all their stuff out and replace it. The NICU nurses
got to be good spys for me and eventually I confronted him about it.
Threatened to go to the head of purchasing and the chief of Peds. He never
did it again.
At the place I work now, the Formula rep sneaks in every Wed. I find
mints in the nursery (ever seen those small rolls that look like formula
cans?) and handouts which I promptly throw away. I have told her that we
prefer to use ed materials that were approved by the hospital and please give
them to the head of OB before they are distributed. I haven't seen any thing
in the nesting room, but now she is giving staff ed materials out!
Let's work together on a strategy for this one!
