Many years ago, in my early LLLLeader days, I had a mom in my group who,
although without the hx of implants, had an erratic MER well after the
earliest days. She tried the oxytocin nasal spray once or twice a day and
this worked well for her; despite the then common advice to use this only for
2-3 days, she found that since she used it only 1-2x aday she was able to use
it for several weeks, slowly weaning off as it was needed less. (I learned
the last of this about twelve years later when we ran into each other in a
totally different context, as she had stopped coming to meetings while still
using the Syntocinon.)
Since a compounding pharmacist can make this up with a Rx, even though it is
no longer available commercially, she could consider trying this. (I
understand that it is rather expensive; hope her insurance will help.)
