Hi Sara,
I could find no evidence of this in a medline search of the medical
literature.  You might want to ask the publication which studies it
bases this statement on, then we can look them up.  The issue of allergy
and breastfeeding is a very complex one, there are a lot of potential
factors, and the studies (even the rare well designed ones) are
contradictory.
