I would say,  however, that as long as the baby is *already* getting
bottles *and* if baby isn't nursing well or at all at the breast, then
getting a nipple shield in place, just for the transition, is a
fantastic thing to do.  Gets baby nursing at the breast......which
wasn't happening before.  Can get mom off of pumping sooner (with is the
biggest PITA for a new mom) and gets baby off of supplemetal feeds
*fast*.

At least with one that age.
