Of course, this is just anectodal, but I tandem nursed my second baby (her older brother nursed almost as much as she did) and she gained 8 oz. a week for 12 months, topping the growth charts throughout her infancy.  It was her older brother, nursed singly, who gained slowly, hugging the bottom of the charts.  They both ended up very tall and average weight.  Will have to read the article to get the big picture I guess.
