I really appreciated your post regarding gloving vs. hand washing, etc. I
live in an area where HIV is uncommon and I deal with a very low-risk
population. I use a finger cot when looking in a baby's mouth, but am very
uncomfortable with the idea of gloving otherwise. I wash my hands lots and
try to be careful about getting milk all over. I feel better knowing that
handling of breast milk does not come under Universal Precautions.
