We have Lactnetters in and around Seattle who have more current info. I
learned to BF in Seattle and never in 3 years of BFing the same child
experienced any negative comments or behavior from anyone in the many public
places I fed my daughter. This was from 1981 to 1984. The Seattle I knew
was a BF-friendly city, quite relaxed toward breastfeeding. There may have
been special places to BF but I never felt the need to seek them out.
The first Baby-Friendly hospital in the US is just outside Seattle (we have
Lactnetters who work there too). I bet the BF climate isn't much worse than
when I lived there.
