I'm not sure but if one accepts movies as some sort of truth, I think in the
"Longest Day" about the invasion (I had an uncle on Utah Beach who just
recently passed away) the clicker sounded like the small machine gun the
German Army used, not a rifle. Of course the small "dolls" (about 3 feet
high?) full of firecrackers parachuting into France is a little hard to
believe, but I think authentic.

I checked the site on the UGRR and it seems just started. There are a few
just off hand (Malone, NY and sites in New Hampshire) I know of that are not
in the list, as it will most certainly grow. A small time capsule was found
in the church where Rev. Beecher Stowe preached in Brooklyn, NY I remember
reading recently.
