Nestle provides samples to drs offices, however we must call each month for
6 cans each, good start and alsoy. I assigned that job of calling to a tech
in our office who hates breastfeeding :-)
Don't bother to flame me for accepting formula samples and giving them out.
I know what is best for low income, inner city parents and I also know what
is real. Unfortunately I don't see many WIC moms getting the help they need
to succeed. By the time I see them it is usually all over :-( Even the
Mexican moms who used to do so well are slowly sliding to "free" formula
with later babies :-( Most moms go back to work at 6 weeks, babysitting is
problematic and casinos are inflexible, unforgiving employers.
Sorry to start the day being so negative. I keep reminding myself that it
is World Breastfeeding Month in New Jersey and we had 2 new pg moms at LLL
meeting last night :-) Pat in SNJ
