This reminds me that a fomrer LLLL friend of mine weaned her first son at one year. When her second son was born, the first was 3. About 6 mos later, the older son asked to nurse and was able to relearn (at this point the mom regretted having weaned him so early). He nursed for a year or so more. Mom felt that they needed this different weaning in their relationship.
