Avent actually makes a microwave sterilizer for it's bottles. I used this
for one of my foster babies when she was 4 months and under and not thriving
well (until we got her on banked human milk!!). I assume it would work with
pump parts too (anyone who knows differently please jump in here). It
consisted of a shallow tray that was filled to a specific level with water,
then an inner tray designed to hold their bottles, cuffs, nipples, etc...All
of that had a "lid" that fit over it. The instructions told how long to
*zap* it, then let it stand for some amount of time. The part I hated was
that everything got steamy, so it was wet and I dried it (with paper towels)
before putting into Ziploc bags. I always felt like that part of the
process kinda messed up the sterilizing.

No financial interest in Avent or Ziploc, just relating my experience.
