I should add that this mother does have a decent pump provided by the
hospital, but has been unable to use it more than a couple of times
so far - sister and she know the best way forward would be to either
express  far more often, and/or to feed the baby direct. Neither is
possible at present.

She's also about 400 miles from me, so I can't visit her, but may be
able to get someone else to, when appropriate.
