Hi Sally,
It's no surprise that this baby has a high bubble palate, the tongue
can't get up there to spread the palate!

I send infants to a pediatric general surgeon, an oral surgeon
(dentist), and several selected ENT's to have their frenula evaluated
and treated. I've made the pedi surgeon promise to teach all her
residents to do frenotomies before she retires! You might need to ask
more than if they clip. Good questions are what their criteria are for
clipping, what age they clip at, what anesthesia do they use, etc. The
answers to these q's will tell you a lot. If the doc says he only clips
when the baby is 2 if speech is impaired, obviously you are not going to
send infants there. If they say they clip newborns with a topical or
local anesthetic if the baby has feeding problems, that would be my
first choice.
