I have searched the archives using "bad tasting milk", "sour milk", and
"bitter milk" but here is what I am looking for...
Posted with client approval:
Mom to 6 and due in August with #7; each breastfed for at least 18 months.
Youngest child, 2.5 yrs. now and weaned about 6 months ago, used to c/o one
breast having "yucky" milk. Would not nurse off that breast often or well.
Spouse ;) concurs with 2.5 yr. old that milk off that side has *always* been
bitter tasting. Mom is looking for answers as to what could be causing the
bitter taste...would like to correct the situation if possible before next
baby arrives.
Any ideas? I have suggested weaning milk may be higher salt content and
thus taste differently, and we have also talked about the possibility of
something wrong inside the breast, but I would welcome your ideas.
Thanks!
