Breastfeeding rates in Nigeria, from: 2001 The State of the World's
Children (UNICEF):
22% of children 0 - 3 mo exclusively breastfed
44% of 6 - 9 month olds breastfed with complementary food
36% of children 20 - 23 months still breastfeeding
Good stats on most of the developing countries in this publication. Oddly
enough, not a great amount of info on industrialized countries. I don't
have the latest publication - perhaps you could get better figures from the
UN website??

I have a request from an MD for breastfeeding rates in Africa, particularly
Nigeria. Any ideas where to go for this information?
