I have an even different background. I worked in Mental Health with autistic
children and their families before having my children. ( Counseling and
educator skills). I am a LLLL leader ( bfing education, and counseling
skills) and my degree is in health education ( program development, grant
writing, program assessment and evaluation, health models, education and
counseling skills).
I have found however that pay grades are not equal. RN's may only have
attended a 2yr community college but they get paid more then I do as a IBCLC
with a BS and 10 yrs experience as a IBCLC and 8 yrs experience ( 2 as
supervisor) in the public health field.
