I see these babies, too. I refer them to Debra Beckman, oral motor skill
specialist, whose office is nearby. With a few weeks of oral motor therapy,
it's usually corrected. I have an "old iron jaws" now and mom is using a
nipple shield which has lowered pain and is doing the oral therapy that Debra
Beckman taught her. These moms are always relieved to know that it is not
the mom and that it can be corrected.
