You can write like Diane, it takes practice. It
took Diane practice, too.
The best way to do it is to write a lot: letters,
editorials, lactnet posts, whatever... and read a lot:
letters, editorials, lactnet posts, articles.
You won't send off every letter you write, and
the first few will take a long time and be painful.
Then it gets easier, and before you know it,
you're dashing off masterpieces to CEOs, newspapers
and federal agencies all over the country.

This is only 1/2 tongue in cheek. Writing, finding
your voice, takes practice, and with practice you
 get good at it, and you feel like you have accomplished
something important because you have.
