In the hospital where I work, babies are taken out to their mothers to feed
every four hours whether they are awake or not. Mothers are not allowed to
sleep with their babies. Some of our mothers room-in so the nurses don't
know they are sleeping with their babies.
I suggest mothers sleep with their babies, but also make them aware the
problem with co-sleeping is waterbeds, very obese parents, alcohol and
drugs.
