To throw in a person anecdotal experience. My firstborn did much of what you
describe. She clicked at every nursing, took in alot of air, and had
prodigious weight gain. I also have a significant overactive letdown, though
may not have had it then with my first child, or I didn't recognize it. The
clicking and popping around at the breast ended at approx. 5-6 months. I
always assumed it was because her mouth got bigger though I never brought it
up to any professional and only recognized a warning sign in retrospect. She
nursed for a long time as well.
