Nikki said just what I was thinking. Rather than spend money on a product
such as gel pads, or whatever, I'd say that if there is a prevalence of
damaged and sore nipples on a pp ward, that the money would best be spent
on a LATCH workshop with Jack Newman MD, or someone VERY knowledgeable in
Latch....teaching. I spent two days with Jack working on latch, and am very
grateful for that opportunity, as it has made the world of difference in my
practice. I think that there is no substitute for good latch technique, and
that all the gizmos in the world won't help you if you are missing the
