I'm a midwife and IBCLC
I've attended the birth of a healthy girl one month ago.At birth I noticed
a thinner right side of the upper lip and a bit darker skin going from nose
to mouth. Now the darker side of the skin has developed in a fast growing
immature angioma and the thinner side of the lip has badly ulcerated and
bleeds at each feed. Have you got any experience of this condition? The
surgeon recommends finger feeding to help the healing of the ulcer but the
mother and I believe that it doesn't help.Do you know any medication that
could help with the ulcered angioma?
