I can't find any recent references to demonstrate that giving solid
foods before 6 months will not prevent a baby waking - I have checked
the archives, PubMed, LLL's excellent resource, and nothing comes up
later than Keane in 1988 and Macknin in 1989.
I suppose they should be good enough - why reinvent the wheel? But it
would be good if there was something else.
I need it for a 'discussion' I am having with a professional who
feels solids should be given to breastfed babies of 5 months who wake
up in the night to cure them of this awful habit.
