"There is a theme that runs throughout Christianity that if you aren't
sacrificing and hurting then you aren't truly "saved."  Goes along with the
theme that you have to "work" for salvation, ie: "earn it.".

I know that Kathleen asked us to get off the subject of religion, yet
people persist in making comments about religion.  Pat, this comment about
Christianity is offensive and inaccurate.  Mary Alice, I'm not sure how to
take your comment, and I'm sure that this is the reason we should not
discuss religion on Lactnet.  This is NOT the place.  We've worked hard to
establish trust on this list, so let's not destroy it.
