Hi Gonneke!
I have to disagree with you on this one :-D , I happily use the sage
tincture as do some other IBCLC's in my region ( the west part of The
Neths). The tincture is known as Salvia Officinalis from Dr. Vogel. It's
cheap and the taste is less worse when you dilute it in more water.
Not every pharmacy or drugstore has it readily available on the shelves,
but they can order it if necessary. I have no experience with the capsules,
only because the tincture works so well. Dosage is 5-10 drops three times a
day. It is also used for sores in the mouth and inflammation of the gums.
When there are supply problems and you've checked the obvious, asking about
gum inflammation and the use of sage tincture is part of my history taking.
