Ofcourse you want to do all you can to prevent any child from dying or being
handicapped fopr the rest of his life. Don't we all?
But rather than blaming the co-sleeping, blame the bottlefeeding and blame
the waterbed. Or in other cases, the use of nicotin, alcohol and drugs of any
kind.
I'd really, really want to know how many co-sleeping, ecologically breastfed
infants of responsible, healthy and non alcohol/nicotin/drugs/meds using
parents actually die in the parental bed. I mean if the co-sleeping is the
one and only riskfactor present, how many SIDS cases still occur
Kathy Dettweyler, do you have any data on SIDS rates in cultures where both
breastfeeding and co-sleeping are the norm?
