Jaquie Kent and Peter Hartmann's work on breast volume has followed mums and
measured breast volume from preconception to one month weaning. There was no
statistical difference in breast volume in these women when comparing
preconception to one month post weaning. One woman, although she complained
she now felt (after weaning) "embarrasingly small" was in fact the same
size as preconception (when measured). So for many women this may be a
perception thing after having bigger breasts for so long when
breastfeeding. The sample also, was small, around 12 women I think.
