I have been asked by a pediatrician collegue of mine abt malpositioned milk
openings she saw in a 6 d post-partum first time mother. The milk pores
are located approximately at 1 1/2 cm off the areola-skin junction, and
despite the infant is attaching beautifully, there is a questionable milk
transfer. The nipples are very sore because of bilateral top cracks, and
pumping seems ineffective bacause of the unusual opening location! Has
anybody experienced anything alike?
Thanks, siliadoc from Rome, Italy
