At the risk of chiming in after everyone else, I would venture a couple of
things. Does she get hives when she has an orgasm? If not, then it's not
likely to be oxytocin. Did she get hives during the first week of
breastfeeding? If not, then it's not likely to be prolactin (when prolactin
surges are at their highest).
I wonder what "hormones of breastfeeding" this physician is thinking of.
What other hormones that are not already present and functioning in the body
surface during breastfeeding?
