I've gotten this secondhand but have permission to ask:
A mother is tandem nursing a 4 month old and 2 1/2 year old. For the past
month or so, the mother has noticed that the 2 1/2 year old throws up if he
nurses "on an empty stomach". It's most noticeable first thing in the
morning, so she feeds him breakfast first, and then he's less likely to
vomit.
Both children have more than one stool a day. They're neither roly-poly nor
thin. The helper is quite sure the mother wears breast pads, and thinks she
may spray on let-down. I don't have details on night nursing or
positioning.
What's your best first guess?
