For those who still are getting resistance from docs when suggesting fluconazole for moms/babies with thrush:

N Engl J Med 2001;345:1660-1666. "Fluconazole Prophylaxis against Fungal Colonization and Infection in Preterm Infants"
"In this single-centre, double-blind, placebo controlled trial, low birth weight preterm babies given fluconazole, an antifungal agent, for six weeks had significantly lower rates of fungal colonization and systemic fungal infection than did controls......
None of the infants developed resistance to the treatment or showed any adverse effects on liver enzymes."
