I have a homemade breast that I use to help explain latch suggestions. I
comes in real handy when there's a language barrier.
To make one you need a pair of panty hose, a rubber band, filling of your
choice [I used lentils] and a marker pen.
1) put one leg of the pantyhose inside the other,
2) tie a tight knot in the toe,
3) turn pantyhose inside out and feel for the knot at the end,
4) put the elastic band over the knot [this becomes the nipple]
5) fill with lentils (or whatever) to desired cup size
6) tie a knot at the other end and cut off excess material
7) draw on areola and montgomery glands
It's nice because you can choose the color and size. It's also nice because
it's low tech and doesn't embarrass people by looking too real.
